Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor for a night shift travel contract at a hospital in Lander, WY, requiring a minimum of 2 years of House Supervisor experience and multiple active AHA certifications.

Details

• Hospital-based nursing supervisor role in a community hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active WY RN license or compact multi-state RN license required
• Required certifications (must be through the American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of recent House Supervisor experience in a hospital setting
• Full US SSN required
• Date of birth required for consideration
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include day-to-day management and long-term planning of patient care areas, directing and developing nursing staff, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintains nursing guidelines, quality of care standards, and ensures adherence to state nursing board and practice act requirements
• Provides emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families
• Oversees infection-control protocols, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations
• Responsible for auditing patient and department records and maintaining documentation of patient care services
• Candidates must not have gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Prior permanent or contract employment at a Community Health facility must be disclosed during consideration
