Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU travel position requiring an IL RN license, NRP certification, and Epic EMR experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based NICU setting
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 36 hours per week, 3 x 12-hour shifts
  • No on-call requirements
  • Epic EMR used; experience required

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU or relevant nursing experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include completing admission assessments, developing and modifying individualized plans of care, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds
  • Monitors neonatal intake and output and administers medications using barcode scanning
  • Supports breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
