American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital, requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and an active IN or Compact RN license.

Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
-
Short-term acute care hospital setting with a 21-room OR suite averaging 70–80 cases daily
-
OR Core specialties include general surgery, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, colorectal, and robotics
-
Travelers are expected to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed; CV and transplant are excluded from floating expectations

Circulatory skills required; scrub skills preferred

Charting is performed in Cerner; experience is required
-
On-call is required, averaging approximately 6 call shifts per 6-week period (subject to variation)

Floating within scope required to meet facility needs

Holiday coverage required — candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

No block scheduling

Active IN or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted)

Minimum 2–3 years of OR RN experience required

Level I Trauma OR experience required (minimum 2 years, or at least 1 year Level I trauma with additional OR experience)

Cerner EMR experience required

Graduation from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE required

Well-rounded OR skills across multiple specialties required

Local candidates residing within Indiana are accepted for this Periop/OR position

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Former permanent or PRN employees of the health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler
