American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric PACU position requiring Level 1 trauma experience, with floating and call coverage responsibilities on a 13-week contract.

Pediatric PACU unit in a hospital setting

Level 1 trauma center experience required for this role

Day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Floating required, including call coverage for the PACU at the Children's facility

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care and apply clinical techniques

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to interventions and treatments

Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and coordinates with multidisciplinary team members and support staff

Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation before being eligible to apply again; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks

This facility has strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding requirements immediately upon acceptance
