Traveling Dental Surgical Assistant - Part Time

Do you have Oral Surgery experience or are you looking to transition from general dentistry into a specialty field?

Heritage Oral Surgery and Implant Centers are hiring an experienced dental or oral surgery assistant for our new position as a Traveling Surgical Assistant covering Valencia and Canoga Park. Your home office will be our Valencia office, and you will receive roundtrip mileage reimbursement when you cover our Canoga Park office.

Experience in the Dental field is required; Oral surgery is preferred.

We are looking for a professional, dependable, positive, bright, energetic, compassionate and friendly Oral Surgery Assistant. We require the following: Dental Assisting Certificate, BLS/CPR certification and Radiology Safety Course Certificate.

The Oral Surgery assistant job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Taking x-rays
• Room set up and breakdown,
• Assisting the doctor in local and general anesthesia surgery
• Sterilization of instruments, tray set ups
• Assisting in consultations and post op checks
• Organization and restocking of supplies
• Wellness calls

This is a Part-Time Position, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday availability required. The main office for this position is Valencia, and we require 100% flexibility to cover our Canoga Park and Palmdale office. Our schedules are released 1 week in advance.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm but we do require early morning availability since we start before 8am most mornings.

Competitive pay, pay is based on experience in the field.
