Trial Attorney, Matrimonial Law—NYC (Exclusive Search)

I have been exclusively retained by a premier boutique matrimonial firm in midtown Manhattan that seeks to hire an experienced trial attorney capable of immediately stepping in to handle complex, high-net-worth matrimonial trials. The ideal candidate will have extensive courtroom experience—preferably in matrimonial or family law—but the firm is open to seasoned commercial litigators with substantial first-chair trial experience and a strong interest in transitioning to this practice. I have made eleven placements with the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as trial counsel in contested matrimonial matters
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Advise clients in sensitive, high-stakes disputes involving complex financial and personal issues

What the Firm Seeks:

• 10+ years of matrimonial or commercial litigation experience
• Significant first-chair trial experience; strong candidates include AUSAs and government prosecutors
• Strong academic credentials
• Matrimonial or family law background preferred but not required

What the Firm Offers:

• Base salary of approximately $270,000-$300,000 (possibly more), depending on background and experience
• Discretionary bonus
• Annual billable hours of 1800

Work Environment:

• In-office presence required at least four days per week
