UAE National -Plant Engineer ( Emiratization)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled UAE National Plant Engineer to join our client which is a European Construction company . This role is a key part of our Emiratization initiative, aimed at developing local talent within the critical infrastructure sector. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of plant equipment and systems. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. He will Provide technical support for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment while supervising workshop personnel and distributing work among teams. He will Ensure adequate spare parts inventory by ordering and managing stock levels. Diagnose complex equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs while monitoring the progress of maintenance jobs. He will Maintain compliance with HSE regulations in the workshop and on-site, ensuring all team members follow safety procedures. He will Report maintenance activities and equipment status to site management and ensure all required records are properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of plant machinery and systems, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
• Analyze plant performance data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to enhance operational reliability and reduce costs.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
• Participate in the planning and execution of plant modifications, upgrades, and new project installations, providing engineering expertise.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for all plant activities and equipment history.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, safety, and external contractors, to achieve plant objectives.
• Support the training and development of junior engineers and technicians, contributing to the growth of local talent.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes for critical plant components.
• Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
