- Missing Pieces Support Group is a nonprofit organization organized by a group of women who have experienced pregnancy losses ranging from first-term miscarriages to stillborns that is dedicated to uplifting underserved communities through advocacy, education, and resource connection. We know the emotional and physical toll that this type of loss carries, and we are committed to helping others in this situation.
Our mission is to bring awareness to pregnancy loss and offer support to grieving families by:

We are seeking a passionate and strategic team player to join our team in a volunteer capacity. This is an unpaid/volunteer opportunity for anyone interested in donating their time to our non-profit.

PRIMARY PURPOSE
- The Human Resources Manager – Compliance will play a key role in ensuring that Missing Pieces Support Group maintains clear, consistent, and compliant HR practices for its volunteer workforce. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining documentation, policies, and procedures that support a structured and transparent environment. By streamlining onboarding, training, and compliance processes, this role helps strengthen the organization’s capacity to effectively serve grieving families and communities with integrity and care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience or strong interest in Human Resources, compliance, or nonprofit administration
- Knowledge of HR best practices, particularly in documentation, onboarding, and volunteer management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and team members remotely
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with HR software or databases a plus Commitment to the mission of Missing Pieces Support Group and sensitivity to families experiencing pregnancy loss
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Administrative Documentation (Primary Duties)
- Annually revise and update volunteer job descriptions to ensure they align with organizational needs
- Develops training materials and a standardized onboarding checklist for volunteers
- Creates and update MPSG’s organizational charts and employee directory
- Periodically update volunteer agreements, waivers, and other materials as necessary
Managing the recruitment and selection process (as needed)
- Writes and revises volunteer job descriptions and qualifications.
Overseeing the onboarding process for all new volunteers(as needed)
- Orients new volunteers to MPSG systems in conjunction with supervisor
TIME COMMITMENT
- Volunteer role with flexible hours (estimated 4–6 hours per week)
- Remote, with occasional virtual meetings as needed
- Ideal for individuals seeking experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or admin support
