UPWORK BIDDER (IT projects)

Job Title: Upwork Bidder Specialist

Location: On-site
Industry: BPO / Software House

MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Upwork Bidder Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating business through Upwork by identifying potential projects, writing customized proposals, communicating with clients, and converting leads into long-term business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Search and identify relevant projects on Upwork based on company services.
  • Write professional, customized, and winning proposals.
  • Understand client requirements and prepare detailed cover letters accordingly.
  • Communicate with clients through Upwork chat and schedule meetings.
  • Follow up with leads and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to understand project scope and timelines.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and track bidding activity.
  • Achieve monthly sales and project acquisition targets.
  • Optimize Upwork profile and portfolio for better visibility.
  • Handle negotiations, pricing discussions, and project closures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Upwork bidding for software development, web development, mobile apps, UI/UX, or digital marketing projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proposal writing and persuasive skills.
  • Understanding of IT services and technical terminology.
  • Ability to handle multiple bids daily with high accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Upwork algorithms and bidding strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and client-handling skills.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Software House or IT company.
  • Understanding of project estimation and requirement gathering.
  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools.
  • Ability to generate leads beyond Upwork (LinkedIn, Fiverr, etc.).

KPIs & Performance Metrics:

  • Number of proposals submitted daily.
  • Response rate from clients.
  • Conversion ratio (Bid to Deal Closure).
  • Monthly revenue generated.
  • Client retention rate.
