Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyse shop drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Should be able to check and take site measurements to prepare estimation.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labor expenses
- Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors
- Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates
- Evaluate a product’s cost effectiveness or profitability
- Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 5 yrs of Experience as Estimator (in joinery and fit out industry)
- Diploma – Civil / Interior / Joinery or equivalent experience
- Should be having experience in Joinery & Fit outs and Furniture manufacturing industries.
- Strong analytical, communication, and mathematical skills.
