Urgently Hiring: Medical Front Office Receptionist (Full-Time) – Cardiology & Podiatry Clinic

Job Overview
Our busy cardiology and podiatry specialty clinic is seeking a reliable and professional Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our team immediately. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk experience
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately using Athenahealth
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and professionally
  • Collect and review patient documentation, including intake forms and medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Assist with medical billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and Medicare claims processing
  • Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
  • Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers
  • Handle clerical tasks such as data entry, and updating patient information using Google Suite
  • Ensure all front desk activities adhere to HIPAA privacy standards and confidentiality protocols

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
  • Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Athenahealth,
  • Experience with health information management software like Phreesia
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Demonstrated experience in a medical office environment or clinic setting with administrative support responsibilities
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes and Medicare requirements
  • Ability to review documentation thoroughly for accuracy and completeness
