UX/UI Design Intern (Remote)

Position Summary:

The UXUI Design Intern will assist in website maintenance and enhancement, as well as creating website layout designs for product/class promotions. We’re looking for a true self-starter who is comfortable in a cross-functional environment of working autonomously and with a team.

Compensation:

Although this is currently a non-compensated internship, it provides valuable preparation for real-world work along with college credit and meaningful professional experience. If company resources allow, this role may transition into a paid, part-time position. We’re seeking a self-starter who thrives in a cross-functional environment and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 10-15 hours/week (Occasional weekend support as needed, however rare unless preferred) for a minimum of 1 term (3 months) commitment, although multiple terms are preferred. Working hours are from home.

Essential duties, responsibilities, and projects:

• Website development and maintenance for WIX site.
• UX/Client experience enhancements.
• Assistance in scheduling and calendar pages with Zoom integrations.
• SEO updates.
• Client and marketing email automation.
• Perform necessary updates and troubleshoot issues associated with website operation.
• Create an attractive, branded website layout design, incorporating the colors, themes, and visual designs that best represent the company.
• Possible production of product videos – script writing, screen capture, and graphic design.
• Create digital assets, including but not limited to images, flyers, surveys, catalogs, banners, marketing advertisements, and promotional materials.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a college or certification program or a recent graduate in; software development/web design program or related preferred.
• Strong graphics skills and proficiency in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Canva.
• Knowledge and experience of WIX preferred.
• Knowledge of variable data processing is a plus.
• Works independently with the ability to multi-task while having excellent attention to detail.
• A creative thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills.

Standard Intern Requirements:

• Daily Slack updates
• Our internships are 100% virtual with the exception of weekly team meetings or occasional/special projects’ meetings
• Interns are 100% responsible for checking in(on Slack) at their agreed-upon start time for their scheduled workdays. Checking in is considered showing up for work, not checking in is considered not showing up for work.

Evaluations & Coaching:

There will be informal evaluations throughout the term as well as one final evaluation at the end of the program, intended to provide business coaching, feedback, and professional development.
