The required van salesman is responsible for driving the company van to sell and deliver products, managing inventory and stock in the van, building and maintaining customer relationships, collecting payments, maintaining vehicle records, meeting sales targets, and ensuring excellent customer service during sales interactions. He also shall handle product displays, process sales orders, and perform basic sales-related administrative tasks.


Sales and Customer Service

  • Selling Products: Presenting company products and services to the customers to generate sales.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with the customers to ensure their loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Providing clear information about products, answering customer questions, and handling any issues or concerns.
  • Sales Targets: Consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals, quotas, and company objectives.

Delivery and Operations

  • Product Delivery: Delivering products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
  • Route Management: Planning and following daily routes to maximize sales and efficiency within the assigned territory.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining adequate stock levels in the van, replenishing products, and tracking inventory to prevent stockouts.
  • Order Processing: Taking orders, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of sold goods.
  • Payment Collection: Collecting payments from customers and maintaining accurate records of all sales transactions.

Vehicle and Administrative Tasks

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Keeping the company van in proper working order by conducting regular checks, maintaining cleanliness, and arranging for servicing when needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of sales, inventory, payments, and customer interactions.
  • Reporting: Reporting daily activities, sales performance, and inventory levels to the manager.

Product Knowledge and Strategy

  • Product Expertise: Staying informed about all company products and services to provide accurate information and effective sales pitches.
  • Sales Strategy: Contributing to sales strategies by identifying new opportunities and understanding competitor behavior within the region.
