VAT Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven VAT Manager to join our Doha office. This role is responsible for overseeing all VAT compliance, reporting, and advisory functions, ensuring full adherence to Qatar tax regulations while optimizing indirect tax processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end VAT compliance, including registration, filings, reconciliations, and reporting
• Ensure accurate application of VAT regulations in accordance with Qatar tax law
• Monitor changes in indirect tax legislation and assess business impact
• Develop and implement VAT control frameworks and compliance procedures
• Review transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment across business operations
• Support VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities as required
• Provide advisory support on VAT implications for contracts, projects, and transactions
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve tax efficiency and accuracy
• Identify risks and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance and controls

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in VAT or indirect tax roles
• Strong knowledge of Qatar VAT regulations and international VAT principles
• Experience in managing tax compliance within complex or multi-entity environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and advisory skills
• High attention to detail with ability to manage deadlines effectively
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
