Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to handle sourcing, negotiation, and management of vendors for interior design projects. The role involves ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing costs while coordinating closely with design and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and execute project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for renovation, fit-out, and office space projects.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead multidisciplinary teams of contractors, architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Client Interaction & Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client expectations are met throughout the project life cycle.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial controls are maintained. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards, health and safety regulations, and building codes. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Timeline & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software. Monitor progress and adjust timelines as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate logistics for material procurement, labor resources, and equipment to ensure efficient project flow and minimize downtime.
- Post-Completion Handover: Oversee the final inspection and handover process to clients, ensuring all aspects of the project are completed to satisfaction and in line with contractual agreements.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing any challenges or issues that arise during the project.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in vendor management / Stakeholder management (interior design preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of interior materials and supplier network
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
