Vendor Manager – Sourcing (India)

The Vendor Manager – Sourcing will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and managing language vendors, freelancers, and specialized partners to support EC Innovations’ global localization programs. This role ensures we maintain a high-quality, scalable vendor pool that aligns with client needs across industries such as Life Sciences, Technology, Finance, Gaming, and Manufacturing.

The Vendor Manager will work closely with Operations, Project Management, and Business Development teams to align vendor capabilities with client demands, while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with EC Innovations’ standards.

This role reports to the VM Director.

Responsibilities

• Source, recruit, and qualify new vendors (translators, editors, DTP specialists, engineers, and niche service providers) to expand EC Innovations’ vendor pool across specialties (e.g., life sciences, financial, or regulated industry).
• Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline to meet dynamic project demands.
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve competitive pricing while maintaining quality and turnaround commitments.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to allocate resources effectively and resolve vendor-related challenges.
• Conduct onboarding, training, and certification processes for new vendors to ensure readiness for client projects.
• Develop vendor engagement strategies to build loyalty and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Monitor market trends in translation, localization, and AI-driven language services to anticipate future vendor requirements.
• Support compliance audits by maintaining vendor documentation (NDAs, certifications, regulatory requirements, etc.).
• Contribute to process improvements within the Vendor Management department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in vendor management, sourcing, or procurement in the localization industry.
• Required to work full-time aligned with US time zones.

· Strong direct sourcing skills—ability to identify and engage passive candidates proactively through diverse channels (e.g., LinkedIn, professional associations, translator communities, and niche platforms).

• Adaptability to collaborate closely with the project managers and the resource management team (especially China-based teams) to align recruitment with operational needs.
• Preferred:Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with CAT tools (Trados, MemoQ) and linguist testing methodologies.
• Experience in freelancer/platform-based recruitment (e.g., ProZ, social media platforms)Proven ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and drive tangible outcomes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,650.00 - ₹105,950.00 per month
