Veterinary Receptionist

*We are looking to fill a part time positions - approximately 15-20 hours per week. Most shifts are varying evenings (3pm-7pm) and Saturdays (7am-4pm), but occasionally can be 7am-12pm. We do require at least two Saturday shifts per month.

The purpose of this position is to serve as the Receptionist at Naperville Animal Hospital, focusing in client service and communication. They are the client's first and last contact with the hospital and key to creating first and lasting impressions. The Receptionist must have exceptional client service and communication skills, be computer literate, handle payment and financial issues, have the ability to multi-task, project a friendly attitude and possess confidence to deal with stressful situations. Representatives support veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, groomers and kennel staff in daily patient and client care. They communicate with clients in person and by phone and email.

They perform record keeping duties, perform clerical duties related to patient care and treatment, and provide miscellaneous support to the veterinary practice manager and health care team. These service functions include, but are not limited to, reception (visitor and telephone), maintenance of veterinary medical records, accounts maintenance, cash processing, data entry, word processing and mail service. This position requires a practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, the basic rules and regulations governing visitors and animal patient treatment, data transcribing, word processing, and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the hospital. Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function in order to fulfill the requirements of this position.

A pre-employment background and drug test is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
