Duties
- Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out processes for appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and modify veterinary appointments using clinic management software
- Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle insurance documentation with accuracy
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, medical histories, and treatment plans
- Communicate clearly with clients about pet care instructions, follow-up appointments, and laboratory results
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Support kennel operations by coordinating pet boarding logistics and ensuring proper animal handling protocols are followed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and pet care best practices
- Experience with medical collections, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques; dog handling skills are essential
- Familiarity with animal husbandry, pet grooming, dog training, and pet grooming techniques
- Proficiency in laboratory experience related to veterinary critical care and animal catheterization procedures
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and veterinary team members
- Knowledge of animal restraint methods, laboratory procedures, and equine experience is a plus
