Veterinary Receptionist (30–40 Hours Per Week)

Oak View Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, small animal practice seeking a compassionate, organized, and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our team for a long-term career. About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you play a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly and kindly, and genuinely cares about animals and the people who love them.

Qualifications

• Previous reception or customer service experience
• Scheduling experience
• Professionalism and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and be self-directed to accomplish tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency (experience with veterinary software is a plus)

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
• Answer and manage multi-line phone systems
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar
• Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
• Provide information about services, products, and preventive care
• Coordinate communication between clients and medical staff
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and reception area

Most importantly, applicants must be team players who enjoy working as part of a team in a high energy, fast-paced environment. Priority will be given to applicants with experience working in a veterinary hospital.
