We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and mission-driven Vice President of Human Resources to join our Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive leader will oversee all aspects of Human Resources while serving as a trusted advisor to organizational leadership.

Position Summary

The Vice President of Human Resources develops and executes human resource strategies that support Trivium's mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives. This position provides leadership and oversight for all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, payroll, learning and development, compliance, organizational culture, and internal communications.

The VP-HR serves as a strategic partner to organizational leadership while ensuring the organization attracts, develops, engages, and retains a high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Human Resources Leadership

  • Establish and implement HR strategies that support Trivium's mission to Create Hope, Empower Lives, and Inspire Communities.
  • Lead the development and execution of evidence-based HR plans that support organizational goals and long-term growth.
  • Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to align workforce initiatives with business priorities.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and workforce strategies that support organizational success.

Team Leadership & Organizational Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Human Resources team while creating a shared sense of direction, accountability, and purpose.
  • Foster an inclusive, values-driven workplace culture that promotes employee engagement, satisfaction, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Utilize HR programs and practices to strengthen culture and support achievement of organizational goals.

Talent Acquisition, Engagement & Development

  • Direct strategic recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Lead employee engagement, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
  • Drive the organization's learning and development strategy, ensuring employees and leaders have the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to succeed.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development efforts across the organization.

Compensation, Benefits & Employee Experience

  • Develop, implement, and communicate competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure employees receive timely, engaging, and consistent communication regarding compensation, benefits, payroll, organizational changes, and employee programs.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the employee experience to improve retention and engagement.

Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to minimize risk and maintain HR best practices.
  • Oversee accreditation, certification, and regulatory review activities to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Financial & Business Leadership

  • Develop and manage the annual Human Resources budget.
  • Utilize workforce metrics and analytics to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to organizational planning and strategic decision-making as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Communication, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading Human Resources teams and/or multiple HR functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise across Human Resources disciplines including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, organizational development, and employee engagement.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence organizational culture, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15%-20%, including occasional overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Human Resources leadership experience in a nonprofit healthcare, behavioral health, healthcare, or human services organization.
  • Experience in a partially unionized environment.
  • Experience supporting labor relations, collective bargaining agreement administration, and labor-management collaboration.
  • Experience leading organizational integration, mergers, acquisitions, or significant change initiatives.
