Vice President, Human Resources

Description:

The Vice President, Human Resources serves as a key strategic partner to the SVP, Human Resources and senior business leadership team, driving enterprise-wide people initiatives that enable organizational performance and growth. This role is responsible for translating HR strategy into effective execution through direct involvement in core HR functions, including talent management, organizational design, employee relations, and HR operations.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a balance of strategic insight and hands-on execution, with the ability to influence at the executive level and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the SVP, Human Resources and senior leadership, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide HR initiatives that support growth, culture, and performance.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and change management efforts.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Drive and directly execute talent acquisition, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management initiatives and processes.
  • Design and implement organizational structures that scale with business growth.
  • Champion a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment strategies for corporate and field roles, with an emphasis on attracting top talent in the consumer products industry.
  • Partner with business leaders to forecast workforce needs and build talent pipelines.
  • Ensure a strong employer brand and candidate experience.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture while mitigating risk.
  • Lead investigations and resolution of workplace concerns in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Leave of Absence, ADA & Workers’ Compensation

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, state/local leave laws, and company policies.
  • Manage ADA processes, including interactive dialogue, reasonable accommodations, and documentation, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Provide strategic oversight of workers’ compensation programs, including claims management, return-to-work programs, and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with legal, benefits and third-party administrators to mitigate risk and ensure effective case resolution.
  • Train and advise managers on leave, accommodation, and workplace injury processes.

Immigration, Visa & Global Mobility

  • Oversee all employment-based immigration processes, including visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, L-1, TN) and compliance.
  • Partner with legal counsel to ensure adherence to immigration laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage international relocation programs, including policy development, vendor management, and employee support.
  • Provide guidance to leadership and employees on global mobility, expatriate assignments, and cross-border workforce matters.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Advise on policies, and programs to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and alignment with corporate standards across the organization.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Establish clear goals, metrics, and accountability within the HR function.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR practices.

Support Warehouse Distribution Operations

  • Visit distribution centers regularly to understand frontline challenges and culture
  • Partner with regional/facility managers on staffing, retention, and workforce planning
  • Address workforce compliance issues specific to warehouse operations
  • Support safety and compliance programs in partnership with operations leadership
  • Help reduce turnover and improve engagement at high-volume, high-turnover sites

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in the consumer products industry strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in immigration, visa sponsorship, international relocation, and global mobility programs.
  • Strong expertise in leave of absence administration, ADA compliance, and workers’ compensation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change.
  • Experience scaling HR functions in a mid-sized, growth-oriented company.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High level of business acumen and sound judgment.

What we offer

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.

Our benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.

Our work environment provides a flexible work schedule that includes a Monday through Thursday on-site, with an optional WFH on Fridays, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, and Time Off for vacation and sick leave.
