Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Primary responsibility for leading the Sales & Marketing departments to achieve Division goals. Responsible for setting goals needed to achieve key operational targets including closing projections, sales, profitability, and other metrics for the Division. Serves as a member of the Division Leadership team and works closely with the Division President.

SALES & MARKETING DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and achieve sales goals necessary to achieve the closing goals set by the Division President.
  • Achieve maximum gross margin.
  • Approve of quarterly pricing with Division President on a quarterly basis, or more frequently if necessary.
  • Report the progress of the Sales organization to the Division President on a weeky basis.
  • Analyze, strategize and drive the closing and sales goals.
  • Develop annual sales goals and update quarterly.
  • Know the competition's product, locations, pricing, features, options, special incentives, and all other information in order to develop strategy to keep Hakes Brothers competitive in the marketplace.
Sales Team
  • Staff, motivate, train, inspire and lead the Sales team.
  • Foster a sales culture of teamwork, accountability, consistency and professionalism.
  • Resolve escalated conflicts that arise between customers and Hakes Brothers.
  • Achieve Division survey goals for the Sales team
Admin and Backlog Management
  • Oversee starts and closings for all communities to achieve Division goals.
  • Order all spec homes necessary each month to ensure an even starts process.
  • Oversee buyer relations and buyer updates.
Marketing and Community Launch
  • Roll out new communities, including the review of pricing, model home setups, sales addenda updates, design updates, signage, grand openings, homesite premiums (approved by Division President), etc.
  • Maintain knowledge on emerging products and services.
  • In cooperation with Corporate Marketing, oversee local digital and social media marketing efforts.
  • Oversee local promotions to the public and Realtors
MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Other sales and marketing related duties as needed.
  • Hire and build teams in new areas while maintaining existing teams.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
  • Required: At least seven years relevant experience
  • Required: Must own or have access to vehicle for daily work
  • Required: Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance
