Job Summary:
The
Vice President of Procurement
is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the company’s end-to-end procurement operations, supplier management, sourcing strategies, cost optimization, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation. The VP of Procurement ensures that all purchasing activities align with organizational objectives, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals.

Lead transformation initiatives in procurement processes to increase efficiency and value.

Collaborate with executive leadership to support company growth, innovation, and sustainability.
Procurement Operations:

Manage direct and indirect procurement activities across all categories (e.g., raw materials, CapEx, MRO, IT, professional services).

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

Monitor and improve procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, lead times, and contract compliance.
Supplier Management:

Develop a high-performing supplier base through strategic partnerships and vendor development.

Lead supplier selection, evaluation, negotiations, and performance management.

Drive supplier consolidation and risk management programs.
Team Leadership & Development:

Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, category managers, and analysts.

Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Establish clear performance metrics and development plans for the procurement team.
Contract & Risk Management:

Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance.

Identify procurement risks (e.g., geopolitical, supply chain disruption) and develop mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams on contractual and regulatory matters.
Technology & Analytics:

Leverage procurement technologies (e.g., ERP, e-sourcing platforms, spend analytics tools) to drive data-driven decision-making.

Drive digitization and automation of procurement processes.

Use advanced analytics to identify savings opportunities and procurement trends.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain or a related discipline preferred.

15+ years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
