Reports To: Principal / School Managing Committee

Job Summary

The Vice Principal will play a key leadership role in managing both academic excellence and school operations. As the second-in-command within the school hierarchy, the Vice Principal supports the Principal in strategic decision-making, coordinates academic programs and activities, ensures operational efficiency, mentors staff, and maintains strong parent and community engagement — all while fostering a positive school environment in alignment with the school’s vision and mission.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Administration

  • Lead and manage overall school operations to support the Principal in achieving school goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership for school improvement and development.
  • Coordinate administrative activities, including documentation, admissions support, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and optimizing the school budget, and monitor operational costs.
  • Ensure all school processes comply with CBSE norms and statutory guidelines.

Academic Operations

  • Establish and promote high standards for student performance and academic excellence.
  • Support teachers in instructional best practices and ensure effective curriculum delivery.
  • Coordinate with academic teams on curriculum updates and educational initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of academic policies and student assessment processes.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and guide teachers and support staff to improve educational delivery.
  • Support recruitment, induction, performance evaluation, and professional development of staff.
  • Promote a collaborative and positive work culture.

Parent & Community Engagement

  • Manage parent interactions and ensure high levels of parent satisfaction.
  • Effectively handle parent concerns and ensure transparent communication on academic and operational matters.
  • Coordinate school events, assemblies, and activities that contribute to the school community.

Safety & Student Welfare

  • Promote a safe, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Ensure appropriate policies are followed for student well-being, safety, and welfare.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate degree (any discipline) with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher education qualification.
  • Advanced qualifications such as M.Ed. or additional leadership/administration credentials are preferred.
  • Experience in academic leadership, school administration, or senior teaching roles is desirable ( 10+ years recommended).

Work Schedule

  • School hours (7:30 am to 4:30 pm) with occasional extended hours for events, meetings, and school functions.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary and benefits in line with qualifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
