Job Summary
ONLY COMMISSION BASED We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Video Editor to bring visual stories to life through compelling editing and post-production work. Duties

• Edit raw video footage into cohesive, visually appealing final products using industry-standard editing software
• Incorporate graphics, sound effects, music, and visual effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
• Proofread and review scripts, captions, and subtitles for accuracy and consistency
• Conduct thorough fact-checking and research to ensure content accuracy and adherence to style guides such as AP style or Chicago Manual of Style
• Collaborate with content creators, writers, and project managers to understand project goals and deliver on creative vision
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality
• Perform copy editing and proofreading to refine scripts, voiceovers, and on-screen text for clarity and professionalism

Skills

• Proven experience in video editing with proficiency in software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools
• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives through visual storytelling
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, or other relevant style guides for consistent content presentation
• Skilled in proofreading, copy editing, fact checking, and research to ensure accuracy and quality
• Ability to perform technical writing related to video production processes or guidelines
• Creative mindset with an eye for detail, composition, pacing, and visual aesthetics
• Word processing skills for scriptwriting, proposal writing, or documentation purposes
