Video Editor for Social Media (Instagram and Tiktok)

We are seeking an in-person video editor to join our team who has experience filming and editing videos specifically for social media.

Who we are: We are a marketing agency that specifically makes videos on social media for new, viral products. Our videos have hundreds of million views on Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook.

We're looking for someone who has experience making short-form videos and a history of going viral. Please do not apply if you have never created for Tiktok or Instagram.

A Typical Day Would Look Like:
1) You’ll film our products using our iPhone
2) Edit the video footage in software to go viral (about 9 - 15 second short videos)
3) Post on our social media pages and monitor comments
4) Make static funny posts if relevant
5) Working with our ads specialist to make content for paid ads

Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management

• Create short-form videos for social media (9-20 second reels)
• Collaborate with marketing team to brainstorm new content ideas
• Film, edit, and post short-form content on our Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook pages
• Stay updated on new trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize reach and performance

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in content creation and/or social media management
• Must be familiar with Instagram and Tiktok
• Skilled in video editing software (for ex: CapCut or Adobe Premiere or Final Cut)
• You don't have to be a video-editing expert, but you should have some experience with common video editing techniques - transitions, keyframe, speed, text, auto-captions, lining up audio, voice-over, etc

Bonus Points (Not Required)

• Experience with paid advertising campaigns
• Previous agency or in-house UGC campaign experience
• Some AI tool familiarity

Monday to Friday: ~40-hour weeks; flexible hours

Work Location: Simi Valley, CA (in-person position)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $37.00 per hour
