Freelance Videographer — Sovia Marketing (DMV Area)

We're a video content and personal branding agency based in the DMV looking for a reliable 1099 videographer to join our roster for recurring client shoots.

What you'll be doing

Shooting talking-head personal branding content, listing videos, agent intro reels, event recaps, and closing videos for real estate clients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Most shoots are 1–3 hours, typically on location at homes, offices, or outdoor spots.

What we're looking for

Someone comfortable running a clean talking-head setup independently — camera, lighting, audio. You don't need a full production crew, just solid fundamentals and consistent results. Recurring availability matters more than a massive reel. We need someone we can count on week to week.

Requirements

• Based in the DMV
• Own gear (camera, lens, basic lighting, lav or shotgun mic)
• Comfortable shooting run-and-gun and guided setups
• Reliable, communicative, and on time
• Available for recurring shoots (not just one-offs)

Nice to have

• Experience with real estate or personal brand content
• Basic editing capability (not required — we have editors)
• Comfortable directing non-actors on camera

Compensation

Paid per shoot. Rate based on experience and scope — let's talk.
