We are currently looking for a Virtual Desktop Administrator to work Monday - Friday at our Branch located at 2605 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT. This Virtual Desktop Administrator is responsible for assisting mid-level and senior-level administrators in installing and configuring a virtual desktop infrastructure for approximately 450 users. This includes installing, configuring and troubleshooting Omnissa Horizon solutions such as Connection Servers, Security Access Gateways, Application Stacks and Dynamic Environment Manager. Will also manage Teradici and 10Zig endpoint devices along with corresponding tools. Must have VMWare ESX Server and virtualization knowledge.

Experience/Skills necessary to perform duties:

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent technical experience.
Understanding of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Active Directory.
Basic knowledge of virtualization and endpoint management concepts.
Familiarity with desktop hardware, device imaging, and software installation.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Exposure to Omnissa Horizon, VMware tools (vSphere), or other VDI platforms.
Experience with remote support and endpoint management platforms (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Workspace ONE).
Basic scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell) for task automation.
Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, VMware VCA, Microsoft MD-102).

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:

Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and support of virtual desktops using Omnissa Horizon.
Monitor virtual desktop performance, availability, and health.
Help manage user sessions, desktop pools, and image updates.
Support application packaging and delivery within the VDI environment.
Collaborate with senior staff on upgrades and optimizations of the Horizon environment.
Maintain documentation of VDI systems and procedures.

Endpoint Device Management:
Support and maintain user endpoints including desktops, laptops, and thin clients.
Assist with imaging, deploying, and patching Windows-based endpoints.
Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity issues on user devices.
Apply group policies and security settings to ensure endpoint compliance.
Track endpoint inventory and participate in asset lifecycle management.
Support endpoint protection tools and configurations (e.g., antivirus, disk encryption).

General Support:
Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets related to VDI and endpoints.
Communicate with users to understand issues and provide effective solutions.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure consistent end-user computing experiences.
