Description

Position Overview:
The VP of Marketing will architect and lead Outova’s enterprise marketing function—building a unified, product-led brand that defines the future of outdoor living. This role exists to transform Outova from a collection of strong legacy companies into a nationally—and ultimately globally—recognized brand capable of commanding a premium market multiple. Achieving this level of brand strength is essential to meeting Outova’s growth objectives and fully realizing the value envisioned by its private equity investors.

This executive will design and execute strategies that elevate brand equity, strengthen demand generation, and directly drive revenue growth and margin expansion. A key priority will be creating a clear master brand architecture under the Outova name with aligned, high-performing sub-brands, ensuring consistency, differentiation, and commercial leverage across all markets and channels.

The ideal leader is both strategist and builder—visionary in direction, disciplined in execution, and deeply accountable for connecting marketing performance to enterprise value creation.

Key Responsibilities:
Brand Architecture & Positioning
  • Finalize and implement overarching Outova’s brand architecture, messaging hierarchy, and customer promise.
  • Establish clear differentiation and unify multiple legacy brands into one cohesive market identity.
Demand Generation & Digital Marketing
  • Build a data-driven demand engine integrating storytelling with digital performance channels (SEO, PPC, paid social, lifecycle marketing).
  • Define marketing metrics and dashboards linking digital performance to sales and margin outcomes.
Revenue & Margin Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to drive growth targets and optimize marketing ROI.
  • Translate marketing insights into actionable commercial strategies that increase customer conversion and retention.
Website & Digital Experience
  • Lead the redesign and integration of Outova.com and divisional sites into a cohesive, conversion-optimized ecosystem.
  • Ensure consistent user experience and analytics visibility across channels.
PR & Thought Leadership
  • Position Outova as the industry authority in outdoor living through earned media, thought leadership, and influencer partnerships.
  • Manage brand reputation and crisis communication as needed.
Organization Build-Out & Leadership
  • Design, hire, and develop a world-class marketing team across brand, digital, PR, creative, and analytics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and performance.
  • Serve as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, driving PE-level rigor in planning and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • 10–15+ years in marketing leadership, including one VP or CMO role with P&L-adjacent accountability.
  • Proven record of driving brand and commercial transformation in a PE-backed or investor-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated success in brand architecture, digital marketing, PR, and team building.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, ROI modeling, and value-based strategy.
  • Experience integrating marketing strategy with financial and operational planning.

Key Competencies:
  • Visionary and data-driven leader
  • Excellent communicator and integrator across disciplines
  • Builder mindset: hands-on, decisive, and pragmatic
  • Strong collaborator, unifier, and motivator
  • High business acumen with growth orientation
  • Confident presenter with board-level communication skills

Physical Activities:
Daily activity includes but is not limited to:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, industry events, or site visits.
  • May need to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally (e.g., marketing materials or trade show items).
  • Must be able to visually review digital and print content for accuracy and brand consistency.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: Competitive salary (exempt) and bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
