Wait Staff

Role Purpose:

To provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. The Wait Staff will act as the face of the restaurant, upholding service standards and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage options when required.
• Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, following restaurant standards.
• Check in with customers during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Process customer bills, handle payments, and return change accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
• Set up and clear tables in preparation for the next guests.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow wait staff to ensure smooth service.
• Upsell additional products when appropriate (e.g., desserts, specials, beverages).
• Handle guest complaints courteously and escalate to the supervisor/manager if needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Basic math skills for handling payments.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to carry trays, plates, and beverages safely.
• Comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment.
