Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome customers upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Explain daily specials or promotions and answer initial questions about the restaurant or menu.
  • Taking Orders: Listen carefully to customer orders, provide recommendations, and input orders accurately into the point-of-sale (POS) system. Relay any special dietary requirements or allergies to the kitchen.
  • Serving Food and Beverages: Deliver food and drinks promptly and ensure that orders are accurate and meet presentation standards. Regularly check on tables to refill drinks and meet additional needs.
  • Ensuring Guest Satisfaction: Monitor customer satisfaction throughout their meal, address complaints or issues gracefully, and provide solutions or escalate concerns to a manager when necessary.
  • Processing Payments: Present the bill to guests, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, and provide correct change or receipts.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and organized, including setting up, clearing, and resetting tables, as well as performing opening and closing duties.
