Waiter/Waitress/Cashier

Job Summary:

The Waitress/Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking and serving food and beverage orders, handling customer payments, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Order Taking:

• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and assist them to their tables.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and take accurate food and beverage orders.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and in accordance with service standards.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing requests or concerns.

Cashiering & Payment Handling:

• Handle billing processes through the POS system accurately.
• Process cash, card, and electronic payments, and issue receipts.
• Maintain proper cash handling procedures and balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Record transactions and prepare sales summaries as required.

Operational & Housekeeping Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas, tables, and cashier counter.
• Ensure proper table setup and assist in resetting tables for the next guests.
• Refill condiments, napkins, and other service items as necessary.
• Support in take-away and delivery orders as needed.
• Follow all company health, hygiene, and safety policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a waitress and/or cashier in a restaurant or café is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills for handling POS transactions.
• Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Presentable appearance and positive work attitude.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR1.00 per month
