Warehouse In-Charge (Dairy Sector)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse In-Charge for our dairy operations. The ideal candidate will oversee warehouse activities, manage inventory and maintain smooth inward/outward flow of dairy products while ensuring quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations

• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, loading, and dispatch.
• Oversee FIFO/FEFO practices for perishable products.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards inside the warehouse.

Inventory Management

• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.
• Monitor stock levels, expiries, damages, and returns.
• Ensure proper documentation of inbound/outbound materials (GRN, Delivery Notes, Gate Passes, etc.).
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams for accurate inventory planning.

Team Management

• Supervise warehouse staff, loaders, forklift operators, and helpers.
• Schedule manpower effectively to meet dispatch timelines.
• Train staff in safety, handling of dairy products, and operational SOPs.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain safety procedures for handling cold storage and equipment.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to management.

Coordination

• Liaise with transport/logistics teams for timely dispatches.
• Work closely with production and sales departments for order fulfillment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, Food Technology).
• 8–10 years of experience in warehouse operations (Dairy/FMCG preferred).
• Strong knowledge of cold-chain and perishable product handling.
• Experience in WMS/ERP systems preferred.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
