Warehouse Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations for Publishers, ensuring efficient storage, dispatch, inventory control, and logistics management across our Karachi facilities. This role demands strong operational leadership, meticulous attention to stock accuracy, and compliance with company SOPs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, dispatch, and returns of books and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Supervise warehouse staff including loaders, pickers, dispatchers, and security personnel.
• Ensure timely dispatch of all sales orders in coordination with the Sales and Finance departments.
• Implement and enforce warehouse SOPs for stock handling, stacking, and preservation of books.
• Monitor and report on stock levels, damaged stock, and discrepancies to senior management.
• Coordinate with printers, suppliers, and logistics vendors for inbound deliveries.
• Manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or stock registers accurately.
• Ensure warehouse health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
• Prepare monthly warehouse performance reports including dispatch rates, stock accuracy, and loss summaries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of warehouse or logistics management experience, preferably in publishing, FMCG, or retail.
• Demonstrated experience in team supervision and inventory management.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
• Knowledge of Sindh labour laws and safety compliance is an advantage.

• Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
• Leadership and team supervision capabilities.
• Proficiency in Busy Software and MS Excel for stock reporting and reconciliation.
• Problem-solving ability under pressure, especially during peak order seasons.
• Good communication skills in Urdu; English literacy required for reporting.
