Our Warehouse Manager, under the direction of the Operations Manager, is responsible for controlling the flow of materials, both to and from the location, in the most timely, productive, safe, and cost effective method possible. Is responsible for providing superior levels of management and leadership to a team of direct-reports and building an environment that focuses around employee engagement and OrePac’s core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a Full-time position. Normal days of work are Mondays through Fridays; shift availability may vary. Hours may need to be extended or adjusted at any time, with or without notice, to meet the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage staffing; responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees, including termination, development of employees and addressing complaints and resolving personnel issues while staying within accordance of applicable state and federal laws and the organization’s policies. Responsible for maintaining a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner. Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse and receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations. Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner. Responsible for oversight of unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Page 2 of 4 Warehouse Manager 8.10.2022 Responsible for supply of materials to fabrication and stages materials for assembly and sub assembly. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry, collaborating with other departments to resolve any discrepancies. Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversees the rotation of inventories within the warehouse. Ensures leadership within warehouse team, supervisors and leads, enforce the organization’s policies and procedures and adhere to OrePac’s safety program. Collaborate with Operations Manager for annual budget requirements for the warehouse and receiving department, help anticipate request for future funding and personnel requirements and requests funding for future material handling equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in warehouse best practices and optimization strategies Experience in leading teams; effectively and efficiently dealing with personnel conflicts. Excellent communication skills and comfortable to speak in front of groups of people consisting of employees, customers or members of leadership Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Strong communication skills. Comfortable engaging and leading individual and team discussions and meetings. Ability to articulate direction and expectations to teammates in a clear and concise manner. Must know how to use small hand tools and power equipment. Ability to re-prioritize as necessary throughout the day with minimal supervision and effectively communicate changes to the team.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. OrePac may administer a pre-employment background check and/or drug-screen, as well as random and/or reasonable suspicion drug-screens during employment. OrePac’s safety policy requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated safety sensitive areas while on OrePac property. OrePac will provide required PPE to employees. OrePac employees who handle or deliver OrePac products while not on OrePac property are required to adhere to
OrePac’s safety policy and use the required PPE necessary for their specific role.
