We are looking for a Warehouse Order Clerk to be based at our San Bernardino, CA location , reporting to the Operations Manager. The salary is $20.00-$22.00 per hour.

BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE

Summary: The Warehouse Order Clerk is an office-based role responsible for managing order workflow in the warehouse management system (WMS)—creating, monitoring, and closing orders in real-time as they are picked and handed off to operations. This role ensures smooth, accurate handoffs between order prep and floor teams, reduces fulfillment delays, and maintains up-to-date order status and documentation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the incoming order queue and enter/confirm orders in the WMS promptly and accurately.
• Close orders in real time as picks are completed and items are handed to shipping/operations teams.
• Generate and print pick lists, packing slips, labels, and carrier paperwork; verify accuracy before release.
• Coordinate closely with pickers, packers, and floor supervisors to confirm order readiness and resolve discrepancies immediately.
• Manage the handoff process: notify operations of staged orders, confirm transfers, and log receipt or exceptions.
• Track order statuses and exceptions, escalate delays or inventory issues to Operations and Customer Service.
• Maintain electronic order records, update tracking numbers, and ensure timely customer notifications.
• Perform spot checks on picked orders for quantity and documentation accuracy.
• Support cycle counts, returns processing, and order corrections as needed.
• Identify process improvements to reduce handoff errors and improve throughput; implement standard operating procedures with Operations.

Qualifications / Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse order processing, inventory control, or logistics; WMS experience strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills (WMS/ERP, Microsoft Office); comfortable with scanners/RF devices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate between teams in real time.

Work Environment:

Warehouse: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy.

External: While performing duties of this job, the employee’s work environment may vary from professional office to warehousing and other vendor/client locations.
