Position Description

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, equipment, and supplies required for the project. This role ensures accurate inventory control, proper storage conditions, and timely delivery of materials to project sites. The Warehouse Specialist works closely with the logistics and procurement teams to maintain smooth warehouse operations and ensure compliance with company and project procedures.

Purpose of the work

To maintain organized and accurate warehouse operations, ensuring materials and equipment are stored safely, documented correctly, and delivered to project sites on time.

Main responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store all incoming materials and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
  • Prepare and dispatch materials to project sites as per requests from logistics or project teams.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
  • Implement and follow warehouse safety procedures and standards.
  • Organize warehouse layout to optimize storage and material handling.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and project teams to meet material delivery schedules.

Company Requirements

Must know:

  • Inventory management and stock control procedures.
  • Safe material handling and warehouse practices.
  • Basic knowledge of project materials and equipment.
  • English language for communication with project teams and suppliers.

Qualification requirements

  • Higher education or technical education in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in warehouse management, material handling, or inventory control is preferred.

Has rights

· Approve receipt, storage, and release of materials.

· Report discrepancies in stock or storage conditions.

· Suggest improvements for warehouse operations and storage efficiency.

Responsibility

· Ensure accurate recording of all incoming and outgoing materials.

· Maintain proper storage conditions and material handling safety.

· Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses to logistics/procurement.

· Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure compliance with company procedures.

· Support logistics operations in timely preparation and dispatch of materials.

Liability of the Materially Responsible Person (MRP):

· Responsible for all materials, equipment, and assets stored in the warehouse.

· Ensure proper accounting, storage, and handling of all warehouse items.

· Prevent losses, damages, or misplacement of materials.

Compliance with civil protection rules, including industrial and fire safety, occupational safety and health, environmental protection and energy conservation:

· Follow all safety regulations for storage and material handling.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.

· Ensure safe use of material handling equipment.

· Monitor and report any hazards in the warehouse.

· Implement environmentally safe and energy-efficient storage practices.
