Assistant Manager- Inventory Control

We are looking for an Inventory controller for our raw material stores to control inventory movement, storage, accuracy and quality. The role ensures accurate tracking of all raw materials/ consumables/ assets which required/ available for smooth production operations while minimizing wastage, shortages, excess stock and coordination with audit departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all raw materials (inward, outward, WIP, balance stock).
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper documentation (GRN – Goods Receiving Note), Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
• Ensure proper storage as per maintained quality/ safety standards considering the nature of materials.
• Maintain WMS/ organized layout for easy identification and retrieval.
• Coordinate with procurement for material planning and shortages.
• Work closely with production team to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
• Hands on with ERP/ software for inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Education & Experience

• Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in Inventory management.
• Experience in furniture or wood-based manufacturing will be preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong planning and coordination skills.
• Good command of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows.
• Good communication and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
