Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods to retail stores. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely replenishment, staff productivity, and compliance with safety and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure timely and accurate movement of stock to retail stores.
• Maintain warehouse layout and storage systems for easy access and fast picking.

2. Inventory Control

• Monitor stock levels, shortages, damages, and expiry (especially for FMCG & food items).
• Conduct cycle counts and assist in physical stock audits.
• Ensure FIFO / FEFO principles are followed.

3. Staff Supervision

• Allocate daily tasks to warehouse staff (pickers, loaders, helpers).
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and discipline.
• Train staff on SOPs, safety, and handling of goods.

4. Dispatch & Store Coordination

• Ensure correct picking as per store requisitions and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with store teams to resolve shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Ensure proper documentation (GRN, DC, transfer notes).

5. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce health and safety standards in the warehouse.
• Ensure proper use of material handling equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse.

6. Loss Prevention

• Prevent theft, pilferage, and damages.
• Ensure CCTV, access control, and stock movement logs are followed.

7. Reporting

• Prepare daily dispatch, pending orders, stock variance, and productivity reports.
• Report operational issues to Warehouse Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs35,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
