Job Description
The Warehouse Worker and Picker is responsible for accurately and efficiently picking, packaging, labeling, and assembling orders for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role also involves properly storing picked items, restocking shelves, disposing of packing materials, and performing quality assurance checks on products. The position requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The role is crucial to ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Age Range
18 - 40 years (Open to other age groups based on experience and physical capability)
Key Responsibilities (KRA/KPI)
- Picking and Packaging: Correctly pick, package, label, and assemble orders according to shipping requirements and customer specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Perform product quality assurance checks, ensuring all items are undamaged and correctly labeled. Report any damaged or missing products to the supervisor or manager.
- Inventory Management: Restock shelves with picked items and ensure proper organization of warehouse space for easy access.
- Order Accuracy: Ensure that all orders are accurately picked and prepared for shipment without errors.
- Efficiency: Maintain a high level of productivity, meeting or exceeding designated daily picking and packing targets.
- Waste Management: Properly dispose of discarded packaging materials and maintain a clean work area.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations within the warehouse.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in warehouse operations (preferred but not required)
Stream and Specialization
- Stream: Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain
- Specialization: Inventory management, product handling, packaging
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pick products from inventory using a picking list.
- Package products securely for shipment while ensuring proper labeling.
- Ensure orders are completed within the designated time frames.
- Report discrepancies in inventory or quality issues to the warehouse supervisor or manager.
- Restock shelves and ensure stock is easily accessible for picking.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by disposing of packing materials appropriately.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or other relevant machinery (if qualified).
- Perform regular physical inventory counts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of orders and shipping details.

Work Experience
- Relevant Experience: 1-2 years in warehouse operations, picking, packing, or inventory management.
- Experience in operating warehouse equipment is a plus (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
