Your Role
Duties and Responsibilities

Taking care of all kinds of waste within the DWF workshop and Jetties.

Oversee waste management operations for a facility, including waste collection, disposal, recycling, and compliance with UAE regulations.

Ensure proper segregation, handling, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

Develop and implement waste management policies, procedures, and programs.

Monitor and report on waste disposal and recycling performance, aiming to reduce waste production.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Coordinate with waste contractors and vendors for the removal and disposal of waste materials.

Provide training and guidance to staff on proper waste management practices.

Maintain accurate records and reports on waste disposal activities.

Stay updated on local, state, and federal waste management regulations and ensure compliance.

Work with the sustainability team to implement waste reduction initiatives and promote recycling programs.

Assist QHSSE department when required.
Job and Skills Requirement

Strong knowledge of waste management regulations, laws, and best practices.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to analyze waste management data and prepare reports.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with staff, vendors, and regulators.

Problem-solving skills to address waste disposal challenges efficiently.

Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and environmental health and safety standards.

Ability to develop and implement waste reduction strategies.
-
Attention to detail for record-keeping and compliance purposes.

Proficiency in using waste management software and tools.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Leadership and training capabilities to manage waste-related activities and educate staff.
