Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Web Developer with deep expertise in WordPress, Shopify, and AI-powered development solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building, customizing, and optimizing websites, along with the ability to identify, implement, and even develop plugins/apps where necessary. You should be proactive in leveraging modern AI coding tools to deliver efficient, scalable, and innovative web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Development & Management

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance websites using WordPress and Shopify

Build responsive, user-friendly, and conversion-optimized websites

Handle end-to-end development from concept to deployment

2. WordPress Expertise

Develop custom themes and plugins

Customize existing themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO structure

Manage WooCommerce stores and integrations

3. Shopify Development

Develop and customize Shopify themes (Liquid, JavaScript, CSS)

Build and optimize Shopify stores for performance and conversions

Integrate third-party apps and APIs

Troubleshoot and enhance Shopify store functionality

4. Plugin & App Solutions

Identify, evaluate, and implement the best plugins/apps based on business needs

Customize or extend plugin functionalities when required

Develop custom plugins/apps if existing solutions are not sufficient

Ensure compatibility, security, and scalability of all integrations

5. AI-Powered Development

Utilize AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve development speed and efficiency

Build or integrate AI-driven features such as chatbots, automation tools, recommendation engines, etc.

Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into web solutions

Automate repetitive development and operational tasks using AI

6. Custom Development & Problem Solving

Develop custom web solutions beyond CMS limitations

Work with APIs, databases, and backend logic

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide scalable solutions

Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability

7. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with designers, marketers, and stakeholders

Translate business requirements into technical solutions

Provide technical recommendations and improvements proactively

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in WordPress (custom themes & plugins)

Strong experience in Shopify (theme customization & app integrations)

Proficiency in:

HTML, CSS, JavaScript

PHP (for WordPress)

Shopify Liquid

Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, and databases

Hands-on experience with AI tools for coding and automation

Strong understanding of website performance optimization & SEO best practices

Ability to research and identify the best plugins/tools efficiently

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with headless CMS or modern frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.)

Knowledge of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization)

Experience with automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.)

Familiarity with hosting environments, cPanel, and server management

Previous experience working in an agency or multi-client environment

Strong research skills (especially for plugins and tools)

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Continuous learner with interest in AI and emerging technologies

Balance between speed (using AI) and quality.
