Childhelp is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping children impacted by abuse and neglect through prevention, treatment, and advocacy. Our mission is fueled by the belief that every child deserves a childhood free from fear. We are looking for a dedicated Website Content Coordinator to help us amplify our voice and ensure our digital presence reflects the life-changing work we do every day.
As our Website Content Coordinator, you are the guardian of Childhelp’s digital storefront. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role where your technical skills in WordPress and your eye for detail ensure that our mission is communicated accurately to the world. By coordinating updates across departments, you bridge the gap between our internal teams and the families, donors, and advocates we serve.
WordPress Management: Publish and update web pages, posts, links, forms, and media. You’ll be the "go-to" for navigating the backend and managing menus/templates.
Content Coordination: Act as the central hub for content requests. You’ll work with internal leaders to clarify requirements, edit for clarity, and ensure every update is live on time.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards for UX and brand consistency. You’ll identify inconsistencies, manage version control, and ensure a seamless user journey.
Strategic Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between our internal teams and our external UX/development partners for technical enhancements and structural changes.
Project Tracking: Keep the VP of Marketing and stakeholders informed on project status and maintain clear documentation of web processes.
We are looking for a collaborative, organized communicator who thrives in a mission-driven environment.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, IT, or a related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in project coordination or WordPress content management.
Technical Savvy: Proficient working knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem (editing, menus, basic settings).
Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to provide clear, prompt updates to stakeholders.
Execution: A high standard for accuracy and the ability to juggle competing deadlines without breaking a sweat.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with UX (User Experience) principles.
Experience working within a nonprofit or cross-functional team environment.
When you join Childhelp, you aren't just managing a website—you are helping to save lives. You will work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where your contributions directly impact our ability to reach children in need.
"Our online presence is often the first point of contact for a child in need or a donor looking to help. Your work ensures that door is always open and the information is always right."
If you are a WordPress-savvy professional with a passion for advocacy and a knack for organization, we want to hear from you!
