We Let the Dogs Out is a highly respected, professional pet care company serving Branford and nearby shoreline towns. We are currently hiring Weekend Pet Care Specialists — dependable, thoughtful individuals who take pride in showing up and doing meaningful work.

Weekends are one of the most important times for pet care. Families are traveling, schedules change, and pets depend on us for consistency and comfort. Because of this, weekend team members play a critical role in maintaining the high standard of care our clients trust us to provide.

We’re looking for responsible team members who take pride in showing up, thinking proactively, and delivering exceptional care.

This is a year-round, structured part-time position with consistent weekend hours and opportunities to grow.

What You’ll Do

• Walk dogs safely in neighborhoods and local outdoor environments
• Provide enrichment visits, feedings, medications, and companionship
• Keep pets secure, comfortable, and happy while their families are away
• Write clear, professional visit reports and communicate with our leadership team through our app

We’re Looking for Someone Who

• Has real hands-on experience caring for dogs and understands animal behavior
• Is highly dependable - pets and teammates are counting on you
• Stays calm and solutions-focused when plans change or challenges arise
• Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Is organized, punctual, and comfortable following structured procedures
• Is available most weekends and some holidays
• Has reliable transportation and enjoys working independently

Pet CPR / First Aid certification is a plus (and we can support you in obtaining it).
