Weighbridge Operator

OBJECTIVE: This role ensures that the materials and vehicles are weighed in and out of site, quality checks are carried out and help ensure the high standards of our site are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

General responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components.

(1)Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.

(2)Identify and address any abnormalities or deviations from standard operation.

(3)Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

(4)Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

(5)Weighing all vehicles moving in and out of the site, ensuring waste transfer notes are received/issued as required.

(6)Ordering of transport to remove materials from site.

(7)Controlling traffic flow within the weighbridge area.

(8)Taking phone calls from customers and suppliers.

(9)Updating spreadsheets with accurate information, ensuring tonnages are recorded correctly.

(10)Admin duties as required, answering emails, dealing with queries, etc.

(11)To understand the site permit to ensure waste types being brought to site are acceptable.

(12)Reporting any weighbridge defects to the site manager

(13)Assisting in production of outbound paperwork.

(14)Ensuring all site visitors sign in the visitor''s book and have appropriate PPE.

(15)Answering queries from accounts.

(16)Good understanding of Microsoft packages i.e. Outlook/Excel.

(17)Good communication skills and a can-do attitude.

(18)High attention to detail and accuracy.
