Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding with accuracy and consistency
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts
- Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure exact specifications
- Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and structural assemblies according to industry standards
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
- Conduct quality inspections using schematics, basic math calculations, and mechanical knowledge to verify fit and finish
- Follow ASME codes & standards for welding and fabrication processes while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing floors
- Assist in pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly activities as needed for project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety guidelines
Experience
- Proven construction site experience working with metal fabrication projects or similar environments
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding processes, and welding techniques
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, forklift operation, pipe threading, machining processes, soldering techniques, and ductwork fabrication
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication work
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations in assembly tasks
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites or manufacturing environments while maintaining safety standards
