Job Purpose
-
Analyze credit and financial reports to determine risks involved in existing and new credit relations in line with the HSBC’s lending policy,

Review / recommend / approve the credit applications of wholesale banking clients
-
Oversee and manage the credit risk of the Bank arising from judgmental lending
-
Support identification, measurement, and monitoring of risk during the wholesale credit risk lending process
-
Manage a portfolio of Wholesale Banking credit proposals under his/her responsibility within expected performance criteria
-
Manage the documentation requests including amendments / waivers and structural changes
-
Manage counterparty stress test studies along with sector and portfolio reviews
-
Ensure LIC and RWA targets are met across the portfolio under responsibility
-
Support the achievement of local Regulatory requirements including lending process requirements
-
Represent Risk appropriately to stakeholders, including Businesses, Customers and Regulators, with effective communication of risk positions and approach
-
Support HBTR Board of Directors on wholesale credit risk requirements
-
Act as the Local Risk Lead in local / regional Risk related projects
-
Deputize for Head of WCR, as delegated.

Exercise credit approval authority
-
Oversee wholesale lending policy in line with local regulations and group guidelines
-
Work in conjunction with Regional/Group WCR Climate Credit Risk to support implementation of Climate Risk Agenda and programme management and governance
Certifications, Qualifications & Experience
-
Graduated from a 4 year University (Business Administration / Economics)
-
Command of both written and verbal English
-
Command of MS office applications
-
Strong credit and risk knowledge is pre-requisite
-
Sound knowledge of financial analysis and modelling
-
Project Management background
-
7-10 years of general corporate / commercial credit/banking experience/climate risk.

Ability to analyse detailed information and form an opinion are essential
-
Close attention to details, ability to work with tight deadlines and perform multi-tasks is essential.

Strategic thinking and planning with result orientation is expected.

Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain a healthy relationship with stakeholders.

Ability to simplify and resolve complex matters (e.g. complicated loan applications, extensive projects etc)
-
A certain degree of leadership skills is required given the diversified team under supervision.
