Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demo and remove old windows/doors, and ensure they are safely and properly disposed.
- Safety load/unload materials and tools to and from the company vehicle.
- Assist Lead Installer with the installation of impact resistant products by carrying materials, accurately measuring/cutting materials (flange, trim) to ensure proper fit, holding products in place, and ensuring that products are properly secured.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing homeowners’ concerns or questions.
- Ensure all company equipment and tools are operational and in good working condition.
- Maintain clean and safe workspace, including making sure the company vehicle is clean.
- Complete mandatory safety trainings to ensure compliance of company safety policies.
- Accomplish company goals by completing other related projects and duties as assigned.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills through training and education.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or another related field preferred.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools including, but not limited to, power drills, saws, hammers, caulking gun, putty knife, measuring tape, and use of safety glasses and gloves.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Must be able to follow instructions, take direction, and be willing to learn new skills.
- Must undergo and pass criminal background screening.
- Must be eligible to drive company vehicle (valid driver’s license & clean driving history).
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job (see below).
Physical Demands & Abilities
- Frequently lift and carry windows and doors that may weigh up to 100 lbs. or more.
- Climb ladders and scaffolding (requires balance, coordination, and lack of fear of heights).
- Physical strength to safely operate heavy power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns.
- Must be able to safely operate company trucks/vans/vehicles.
- Other demands: standing, bending, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods of time.
- Must possess the endurance and resilience to work in hot weather conditions.
