Women’s Ethnic & Western Wear Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented, creative, and versatile Women’s Ethnic & Western Wear Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess a keen understanding of both traditional and contemporary ethnic wear trends, with an eye for detail, aesthetics, and market relevance. This role requires a dynamic individual who can conceptualize and create innovative collections that align with our brand identity while meeting evolving market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

 Research and analyze current and upcoming trends in women’s ethnic and western fashion.

 Design innovative collections, including kurtis, suits, western and fusion wear.

 Select suitable fabrics, embroidery techniques, trims, and embellishments.

 Create mood boards, hand sketches, and digital illustrations for new designs.

 Collaborate closely with the sampling and production teams to ensure design feasibility.

 Liaise with vendors and artisans for customized detailing like embroidery and prints.

 Conduct garment fittings and implement design modifications as needed.

 Maintain high standards for product quality, color coordination, and overall aesthetic appeal.

 Manage project timelines and ensure the timely launch of seasonal collections.

 Monitor competitor activity and stay informed about market shifts and consumer preferences.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.

 More than 5 years of proven experience in designing women’s ethnic and western wear (Portfolio submission

required).

 Strong knowledge of fabrics, surface ornamentation, and textile techniques.

 Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDraw.

 Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and a refined sense of style.

 Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

 Awareness of sustainable and eco-conscious fashion practices.

 Understanding of market segmentation and target consumer behavior.

 Prior experience working with fashion retail or luxury ethnic wear brands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
