WordPress Developer

Pinnacle is looking for a talented and experienced WordPress Developer to build and manage a scalable, high-performance real estate/preconstruction projects website. This role requires someone who can build the site from the ground up and then handle ongoing updates, listings, and content management.

Responsibilities:

• Build a scalable WordPress website starting with one city (e.g., Miami), with the ability to expand to multiple cities.
• Customize and configure a lightweight theme such as Astra or GeneratePress.
• Implement and configure key plugins, including: Elementor Pro or Oxygen, RankMath or Yoast SEO, WP Rocket or LiteSpeed Cache, Gravity Forms or Fluent Forms, MemberPress or BuddyBoss, GeoDirectory, Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign integration, Wordfence or Sucuri.
• Develop city-specific templates that can be cloned for new cities and projects.
• Build and optimize search and filtering functionalities by city and project.
• Ensure the website is mobile-first, secure, and optimized for speed.
• Handle ongoing tasks such as adding new listings, updating project details, uploading content/images, and general maintenance.
• Work with optimized hosting platforms (WP Engine, Kinsta, or SiteGround Cloud).
• Ensure database is structured for scalability (lots of listings and user data).

Requirements:

• Proven experience building scalable WordPress websites with custom functionality.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugin integrations.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with SEO best practices and site speed optimization.
• Familiarity with real estate listing/directory systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage ongoing updates, content additions, and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with real estate or directory websites.
• Familiarity with marketing tools (ActiveCampaign/Mailchimp).
• Understanding of database optimization for large datasets.
